Charges via USB-C which is convenient since I can just plug it into my portable battery when traveling.Build quality feels decent for a budget device. Buttons are responsive and the D-pad works well for retro games. Only buttons that seem a little off are the trigger buttons in the back of the unit - I wish they weren't so "clicky".
